It seems like yesterday that we all were filling MaMa DeHart's house with friends & family, getting ready for the Friday night ritual of the Conroe Ballroom. Forty years old seemed so far away, so distant, so unreal, for all us kids that shared the joy of April's friendship. She gave me one of Buster Brown's puppies & we named it John Lennon Brown. She helped me find my first job at the movie house with O.Z. Horton. Her beautiful smile stays in the forefront of my mind, even today. I remember where I was standing when I took the call that we'd lost April in that accident off Porter Road. She gave so much happiness & love in the short 40 years that we had her in this world. As we come upon our reunion date, we have her in our hearts and miss April DeHart. We know there is peace with you, Jimmy and your father, whom you love so dearly, all gone too soon. God Bless you, April.
Will never forget going to the bus station to see some friends in Houston when I was home on leave from the Navy and looking across the street and seeing You and Big John Earl Denman waving and smiling from Ear-to-Ear! Miss YOU Friend!
From Margaret McPhearson on April 13th, 2012
Arthur - RIP!!! We grew up together and had some good times playing. You were a super smart kid. I remember the little wooden school house that your mother taught me in when I was in kindergarten. A lot of people probably won't remember it was on the west side of town known as "Pal."
From Ray Williams on April 6th, 2012
Not many will remember you Arthur but I will never forget. We had some good times together! R.I.P. my friend.
I so enjoyed seeing and viisiting with you at the Stinson's annual Easter Picnic. What a loss of a kind-hearted man. RIP
From Jim & Karen Stinson on March 17th, 2012
Funny how life moves in circles. Mike sat next to me in homeroom. Imagine my surprise when he became my cousin by marriage. We hung out regularly at concerts and on the back porch. "Cousin Michael" was ready to have fun, cook, listen to music and swap stories. We were devastated by his untimely death. Miss you.
Charlotte was a beautiful girl that will be missed by many.
From Kathy Mann on March 28th, 2012
Charlotte, You were my best friend. We did so many fun crazy things together When you left for Europe I felt like my life ended, no fun without you. I wish I had been there for you before your life ended. I will always remember what a beautful wild child you were before we grew up. I love you.

Cindy ALWAYS smiling or laughing. We had some classes together and that's how I remember her........or, of course we would get in trouble for talking but that was just a given. RIP sweet girl.
From Suggie Barrow Harmon on February 29th, 2012
Talk about a smile that lighten any room she entered, that was Cindy Golden. She was a force to be reckon with. From cosmetology, cruising down Fraizer Street, stopping at the Oasis for a snack and checking out who else was there to closing down the Conroe Ballroom. Thank you Cindy for those wonderful memories. You were a sweetheart.
Neal, From hanging out at your parents log house on Steadum Road, playing in the band with you, and flying down back roads in the old red jeep running it on drip gas from the oil wells, we had a good time. Then the trip you and I made to Arkansas to get equipment for my fathers business after high scholl was a good adventure in an El Cameno. Rest in peace my friend !!!
I'm always thinking of you, because I still miss you. I miss our Saturday morning trips to downtown Houston to shop and see a movie. I also miss our rides through Duggan before going to our homes. All of us were thinking of you during the class reunion tribute.

You were a kind young man, James. I hope you are happy where you are, but the world is a sadder place without you.
Curtis is survived by two beautiful children (my niece and nephew) and 5 grandchildren. We worked together for the same company for many years. He is greatly missed by family and friends.
James was married to my first cousin. He had two beautiful children and was a great dad. He traveled in his job but his family was alway first with him. He would of loved to see everyone from school.

Rest in peace John. You are truly missed by many. I can still hear that "big mouth" (lol) of yours singing and shouting out at your church, on the football field or anwhere when I saw you.
My dearest John, our mothers were best friends, so my fondest memories of you were climbing the tree in your front yard; riding bikes from the age of three; and going to Galveston every summer There is not a day that I don't think fondly of all the memories we had growing up together. I speak with your mom on a regular basis, and through my friendship with her, you're right there with us to form a beautiful triad. I love you, my friend. As one of my favorite poets Walt Whitman wrote:"I know that you will stop somewhere waiting for me". You will always be gold to me. RIP

Kris - I have thought of you so many times in my adult life. As kids, we were always next to each other in pictures - from Brownies to Graduation - I hope you had a good life - you were so smart and talented. In 2010 I started looking for you and from time to time I would search a different way - I was so sad when Kathy Shugart sent me your obituary and I never found you to visit with you. RIP Nanette

We were the new kids in Mrs. Rice's 4th grade class at Sam Houston Elementary. I migrated in from Cut & Shoot and Scott from Georgetown. Bruce Scott was in our class.
I still picture us all as kids getting ready for Play Day and meeting all of the new people in Conroe.
Sherry and Jay were my next door neighbors for many years. It's hard to imagine anyone sweeter and kinder than Sherry. She refused to see, no I should say accept the bad side of life. On the outside she was very beautiful but her heart, laughter and genuine spirit is what I will always remember...and Sherry is an unforgetable person.

I think of you constantly, but especially when I hear Joni Mitchell; witness a blanket of bluebonnets in a field; and every time I taught some of your favorite works like To Kill A Mockingbird. We had so many wonderful times and on occasion, some wild times together. You will always have a special place in my heart that nothing or no one can ever take away from me. I miss Sherry every day of my life. Sherry, Diana and I were best buds in high school and beyond. I can still see Sherry's smile and hear her unique laugh. When I have a memory that is foggy I think... I need to ask Sherry and then remember... I can't. Kinda funny to think about because when her illness became so bad.... she used to tell me I was her memory bank. Sherry will have a place in my heart forever. Carolyn

You survived a heart transplant, diabetes, and cancer. You were a good soldier and fought a good fight! I will miss you my friend, till the end.
Oh Tommy, I had no idea you were sick. I remember in Crockett Jr. High in 8th grade band and you would '' challenge " me for first chair and we were back and forth all year long.
